Mobotix Camera Lenses and Sensors

Mobotix camera comes with various types of lens options and sensors based on the type of camera and their application. Most of the models of Mobotix camera are fitted with individual lens combinations. Some of the common lens type used in these cameras are the L22, L32, L43, L65 and L135. These lenses can be manufactured as per the requirements of buyers. Any number and combination of lenses can be asked for that are then pre-adjusted on the sensor boards of the camera during the fabrication in the units itself. All types of Mobotix lenses can be installed directly on the location of deployment.

A Mobotix camera uses lens types with different focal lengths, image widths and image angles. Some of the common types are super wide angle 90°, wide angle 60°/ 45° and tele 31°/15°. Different camera series come with completely individual sets of lenses. The M22 camera series are fitted with the L22 super wide angle lens, whereas the M12 camera series use the L34 and L135 lens. These lenses are preset on the sensor boards during the fabrication process and locked in place for superior focus. Such pre-setting and locking ensures stable images even in case of wind induced shaking. All these lenses are compatible for both day and night time operation. As per the time of day, appropriate sensors are used, viz., color sensors for day time recording and black/white sensors for night time operation.

In addition to the high tech lenses, a Mobotix camera also offers various sensors and sensor kits that are incorporated into them. These are available as sensor modules and come with adapters and DevKits. The popular sensor modules are the Mx Sensor board M14 comprising color sensor of 2048x1536 pixels & sensitivity 1-0.05 lux, B/W sensor of 1280x960 pixels & sensitivity: 0.1-0.005 lux, aluminum block and a ribbon cable. The sensors which come with M14 lenses are mounted on the DevKit models.
